New Barrier System Operating from Solar Power
August 2013
Auto Mate Systems Ltd. are proud to introduce the latest high-tech barrier system using solar power and giving in excess of 300 operations per day. The solar panels also run the ancillary devices such as timers and proximity access control system along with safety devises including induction loops and safety edge.
A special control panels has been developed to reduce the consumption of ancillary equipment freeing up stored power from the solar panels to allow far more operations of the barrier than ever before.
New induction loop technology has been incorporated which consumes very little power when in use.
Radio technology for the intercoms has been used which means that they work off their own battery power with a rechargeable portable intercom handset within the building that can open the barrier from up to 300 metres away.
The savings on digging and ducting power and cables from the building was more than double the cost of installing the solar power system and no energy running costs really appealed to the Junior School where it was installed.
The possibilities for this type of barrier is endless, from remote countryside car parks and forestry roads or business with remote locations.
