New Barrier System Operating from Solar Power
Auto Mate Systems Ltd are proud to introduce our latest high tech barrier system, using solar power, and, giving in excess of 300 operations per day. The solar panels also run the ancillary devices such as timers and the proximity access control system, along with safety devices including induction loops and safety edges.
A special control panel has been developed to reduce the consumption of the ancillary equipment, freeing up stored power from the solar panels to allow for far more operations of the barrier than has ever been previously possible.
New induction loop technology has also been incorporated, thus consuming very little power when in use.
In the pictured example, radio technology was used for the intercoms, which means that they work off their own battery power with a rechargeable portable intercom handset within the building that can open the barrier from up to 300 metres away.
The savings made from avoiding digging, ducting power and ducting cables from the building, was more than double the actual cost of installing the solar power system itself. Those savings coupled with no energy running costs, really appealed to the Infant and Junior School where it was installed.
The possibilities for this type of barrier are endless. From remote countryside car parks and forestry roads, energy conscious properties or businesses with remote locations.
